    I have “skeptically” followed James now for a few years. We talked once on the phone after my wife purchased an hour of his time for my birthday. I have watched him grow up from the ashes of a life burnt to the ground. I have followed his Facebook, watched some of his videos and have seen what the fire has done to his message. I purchased his book and read the entire thing in less than 24 hours.

    What did they expect him to do? Seriously? It was not enough to crucify him. It wasn’t enough to destroy his reputation. It wasn’t enough that everyone took every penny he had.     I could not put this book down, read it straight through and I generally have difficulty finding books that hold my attention. Grant it, I am a little bias as I have enjoyed reading James Ray quotes for a couple decades, however, what I really love about this book is the constant reminder to my own life of the times I get so overwhelmed or up against barricades in my own 30 year business that I entertain the notion to quit. I believe after reading this book, I will disregard that thought for the next 30 years. I have never quit, it is ridiculous to "go there". My daughter is only 12, but I am saving this book for her to read. It is definitely a resource and a keeper.

    The brief peak into James' life through this book was so surprising. The horrific events he's been through are shocking and unbelievable. I'm so honored that he chose to share his feelings and experiences with us through this book. It's well written, thoughtful and a total page turner.

    What amazes me is James' level of resilience; the man can come back from damn near anything. I attended a live event of his last weekend and he's at the top of his game - his talent is amazing. To read some of the things he has endured and see him in person and feel the positive energy, power and wisdom that comes from him is simply awesome.

    The book is fascinating and heart breaking and well worth the read.

    The fact that the reviews for this book are either 1-star or 5-stars probably tells you everything you need to know about what a polarizing figure James Arthur Ray is - and he's why I chose to read this book. I'd been a big fan of his back in 2009 before the events outlined in this book took place, and when I started hearing his content again, I found it so much more authentic, engaging, and REAL.

    The 'Redemption' in the title is deliberately misleading, because it's not what we think of as redemption (i.e. forgiveness) that James is seeking - nor do I think he'll ever receive it. We live in 'cancel culture' and when you can lose your entire career for saying something politically incorrect, I think the chances of James ever being embraced after the events that he (rightly or wrongly, depending on your perspective) got held responsible for are slim to none.
